It is the Government's belief that only ZF Industries or their authorized distributors can furnish the required couplings and ensure the proper fit, form and function. However, other potential sources with the expertise and required capabilities to furnish other the ZF Industries couplings can submit such data discussing the same in duplicate within 15 days form the date of this announcement. The following information must be provided to evaluate the acceptability of the offered replacement couplings: 1) Complete and current engineering data to demonstrate the acceptability of the offered replacement (i.e. Salient physical functional, and serviceability characteristics, or 2) Data that the offered replacement has been satisfactorily provided to the Government or the original equipment manufacturer. This data must include sufficient information to allow the Coast Guard to evaluate the proposal relative to the above requirements. No cost or pricing data is required. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION.
