SOL WASC8-1682 POC Randall Brown (206) 626-6226/FAX (206) 526-6025 Notice of intent to negotiate a sole-source contract with the Suquamish Tribal Fisheries Department for the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS). Purpose of proposed contract is to provide fish culture work to determine effects of controlled inbreeding of chinook salmon on survival, development, age structure, and other aspects of the life history. The Suquamish Tribe has been collecting size, growth, and mortality data on 1994 chinook hatchery salmon since they were developed as embryos in 10/94. Proposed contract is part of the captive broodstock research developed between NMFS and the Suquamish Tribe. Sources responding to this notice must do so within 15 days from the date of this publication and indicate qualifications and experience in this particular field.
