A -- 70-SOFTWARE PACKAGE FOR ELECTRONIC MEDICAL RECORD SYSTEM The Office of Naval Research intends to negotiate on a sole source basis a firm-fixed price purchase order with Physix, Inc. for the Compendia EMR System and Physix Template Software, which includes license and user fees as well as host hardware, installation, and support. This software package, which allows the user to enter treatment and diagnosis information and then transmit this information via wireless LAN to a remote server, will be used for the Marine Corps Field Casualty tracking project. The software package is the only available that meets the requirement for flexible medical-treatment-record software which can do the following: be used with a variety of hand-held, pen-interface computers, i.e., Personal Data Assistant (PDA); update and transfer treatment data from the PDA to a server via wireless LAN and/or WAN; and incorporate GPS-based location data.
