contract is 100 set-aside for small business concerns. 2. The project
consists of furnishing all logs and labor to replicate an historic log
cabin. 3. "Dixie" cabin is located within the Rosemary Inn historic
district at Lake Crescent in Olympic National Park. The park is
beginning a major rehabilitation of the cabin this fall and winter. Due
to extensive moisture damage and insect infestation, all of the logs
will be replaced including the pole roof rafters. In general, this
contract is to supply the logs for the walls and the roof pole rafters.
All logs and pole rafters whall be cut, notched, beveled and assembled
at the factory to replicate the existing cabin. Logs shall then be
shipped to the site and reassembled by the contractor. Park maintenance
staff will complete the rehabilitation project including installing the
rehabilitated doors and windows, installing the wood flooring, and
adding the plumbing and electrical. This is an historic preservation
project. It is important that the new logs and rafters replicate the
existing ones as close as possible in size and character. Photographs
are being included in the bid package to show the overall character of
the building and several of the front porch details. The cabin is
still standing on site and will not be dismantled until after this
contract is awarded. The contracotr may choose to visit the cabin to
look at the detailing to be replicated. The structure currently serves
as housing for one of the Olympic Park Institute employees. Do not
enter the cabin without permission. 3. References will be required --
a minimum of three from successfully completed projects of this type
and you may include photos along with these references. Failure to
submitt references in your quotation bid packet as part of your
quotation will result in your bid quotation being considered
non-responsive and your quote will not be considered. 4. Request For
