Provide all plant, labor, equipment, materials, transportation, and supervision to perform all operations in strict accordance with the applicable drawings and specifications. The work includes, but is not limited to, providing and installing an electronic recloser switch, bypass switches, control cabinet, mounting equipment plus brackets, insulators, surge arrestors, associated cable, crossarms, and accessories, plus hardware on the south side of the base at Pole No. 1. The work includes removing the existing gang switches on the feed lines from Lockheed. This line is located on the south side of the base at Pole #1 and feeds the ammunition storage, Navy, Air National Guard, Fire Burning Pit, and the Rifle Range. The gang switches are presently hung in a vertical configuration, a steel crossarm shall be provided to convert to a horizontal configuration at Pole #1. The recloser switch shall be three phase, capable of supporting a 12,470V line, oil interrupting medium, with a form 3A electronic control panel, Cooper Power Systems or equivalent. The bypass switches shall be Type R, 600-Amp capable of handling a 12kV system. The period of performance is 90 calendar days to include material approval, acquisition, transportation and installation. The contract will be firm fixed price. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. SIC code is 1731. Size standard is $7,000,000.00. The solicitation will be issued on or about 27 August 1998 with quotes due on or about 25 September 1998. This procurement is unrestricted in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. All responsible sources may request a solicitation package by written request.
