Requirements; Side entry door, rear opening cargo doors, seating for minimum 8 personnel including driver and front passenger, 8 cylinder gas motor, unldeaded gas, automatic transmission, ps/ps and a/c. At least 6 compact extended cab pickup trucks. Requirements; 4W drive standard or automatic transmission, minimum of 3.0 liter six cylinder 150 HP engine, p/s, p/b with disk, rear wheel antilock brakes, auto locking hubs, a/c, rear jump seats, underbody shield pkg, hd battery and hd alternator, hd front and rear bumper, off road suspension torsion bars, driver and passenger side airbags, 60/40 front split bench seat, cloth upholstery, dual exterior mirrors, 15Q steel wheels, P215/75R radials. At least one compact with extended cab (sole source to Ford motor co.), Vendors are encouraged to offer both the XL and XLT models, or either one. The Government will make an award to the responsible Offeror(s) whose offer(s) conforms to the solicitation contained herein and is most advanatageous to the Government (i.e. that which represents the best value to the Government), cost or price and other factors including time period required for delivery to the port in Miami, FL, considered. The combined relative merit of the technical evaluation factors listed above will be more significant than cost or price in the selection of the contractor. While the cost or price factor has no numerical weight, it is a criterion in the overall evaluation of proposals.
