Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their quote. This notice serves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a written amendment will not be issued. The purpose of this amendment is to provide an official response to questions received. Question No. 1. -- Item 1 requests communication ports for both RS232 and RS485 on the analyzer for connection to a computer. Do you want communication cables for both RS232 and RS485 ports included in the quotation? What cable lengths are required? Answer: Cables are not to be supplied with this procurement. We will supply our own cables. Question No. 2. -- Is the computer referenced in Item 1 and Item 2 government furnished equipment, or is it to be supplied as part of this solicitation? Answer: The computer is not to be supplied with this procurement. We have our own computer. Question No. 3. -- If the computer is government furnished, isit equipped with an RS 485 communication module, or is the RS485 module for the computer to be supplied as part of this solicitation? Answer: An RS232 to RS485 converter module is to be supplied with this procurement. This converter is to be useable on any RS232 port on a computer. The due date for receipt of offers is extended to August 21, 1998. Companies shall provide the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ posted on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS) on July 24, 1998.
