RASHID (256) 235-7966 Contracting Officer Cathy Higginbotham (256) 235-7323 (Site Code DAAC01) This is a firm-fixed price solicitation for a rotary screw air compressor for the central compressed air plant in Building 402, at Anniston Army Depot. The air compressor shall be a two-stage rotary screw type, water cooled, and electric motor driven, with remote motor starter, motor and compressor controls, skid mounting frame, regulators, lubrication system, coolers, and sound reducing enclosure. The air compressor shall be shipped completely assembled, with all items mounted on a common skid type mounting frame (except for the motor starter) and totally enclosed in a finished cabinet (sound reducing enclosure) with removal panels, requiring only connection of utilities and control wiring to be operational. The air compressor shall not require a special foundation, and shall be designed, constructed, and configured to rest and operate on a concrete slab capable of supporting the weight of the unit, without anchorage of the frame to the slab. The contractor shall be required to provide all necessary equipment, break in lubricant, lubricants, filters, and controls for a complete and operational air compressor. The air compressor shall be contractor furnished, government installed, with start up assistance provided by the contractor. One job. The Government intends to use Trade-Off evaluation procedures. Final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price, past performance, and technical experience, and other evaluation factors.
