114DS501, Rev. K. The Government intends to issue an Indefinite
Delivery Indefinite Quantity, Firm Fixed Price Type Contract with five
consecutive ordering periods. The minimum quantity is 42 each,
concurrent with award, and the maximum quantity is 210 each. Delivery
will be FOB Destination for the first ordering period and FOB Origin
for the subsequent ordering periods. Applicable to the CH-47 Aircraft.
First ordering period, FOB destination, 42 each, to Texarkana, TX.
Required delivery with First Article Testing is 42 each, 570 days after
contract award (DACA), first article test (FAT) report due 348 DACA.
Required delivery without FAT is 42 each 360 DACA. This requirement
replaces earlier Synopsis for DAAJ09-97-Q-0843. All responsible sources
may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency.
Justification for other than full and open competition is FAR 6.302-1,
Only One Source or only a Limited Number of Responsible Sources. This
proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government does
not have specifications and drawings to permit full and open
competition. Approved sources are Boeing Helicopters, Philadelphia, PA
(CAGE 77272) and MRC Bearings Jamestown, NY (CAGE 38443). The time
required for approval of new suppliers is such that award and delivery
cannot be delayed pending approval of a new source. Firms are
encouraged to seek source approval in order to compete for future
solicitations by requesting a source approval request (SAR) package in
accordance with the SAR web site which is
