66 -- COMPUTER CONTROLLED PROGRAMMABLE CELL FREEZER SOL 3K45-JW0002A DUE 090598 POC John Wilkinson, Telephone (301) 504-5799, Fax (301) 504-8696 The U.S. Department of Agriculture intends to purchase a computer controlled programmable cell freezer which shall include the following specifications: Automatic freezer for 5.0 milliliter macrotubes; 0.5 milliliter and 0.25 liter straws complete with integrated processor and software; color monitor; four-color internal plotter (for chamber, sample and target temperature); sixty programs with a maximum of fifty steps; cooling rate of plus 0.1 to minus 60 degrees celsius per minute; heating rate of plus 0.1 to minus 15 degrees celsius per minute; range of plus forty degrees to minus one-hundred and eighty degrees celsius; and chamber shall have a top opening. A copy of the solicitation will be made available by WRITTEN REQUEST ONLY. This solicitation incorporates clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-5. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 3821. This acquisition shall be reserved as a 100 percent small business set-aside. Delivery is required 60 days after award of this solicitation. Delivery shall be F.O.B. Destination to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Beltsville, Maryland. Any interested/qualified sources who can provide the items above, must respond by September 5, 1998. All responses will be evaluated in order to determine the capabilities stated in the RFQ.
