This is a combination synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR, Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is F04700-98Q-1814. This is a Request for Quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-06 and DAC 91-13. The Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC) at Edwards Air Force Base, California has a requirement for a personal computer based telemetry system. The system shall be capable of two independent control room (client) operations simultaneously. In addition to the two client computers, the system shall include all administrator and client servers. The system shall also include specialized computer cards and software that provide real time data acquisition and processing of raw data from a class I pulse Code Modulated (PCM) telemetry stream and complies with Inter Range Instrumentation Group (IRIG) standards. The client software shall have an open architecture design that integrates with standard data interfaces and utilizes a user friendly Graphical User Interface (GUI) in order to set up, view, and modify parameter displays in real time.
