(OJP) intends to issue on a sole source basis a purchase order to
Renaissance Swim and Fitness Club, 941 9th Street, NW., Washington, DC,
20001 for providing services to the Office of Justice Programs, which
well aid in the physical and metal fitness of OJP employees in
accordance with the President's Wellness and Worklife Program. This
purchase order will be negotiated in accordance with authority of 41
U.S.C. 2152(c)(1) -- Only one responsible source with unique
capabilities. The health and and well being of OJP employees are
essential to the accomplishment of OJP's mission to improve employee
morale, boost employee productivity by preventing illness and improving
physical and mental health, leading to better attendance. The
Renaissance Swim and Fitness Club is a 1/2 block from OJP, which will
allow employees to attend the fitness club before and after work, and
during the lunch break period. The period of performance shall commence
on September 1, 1998 and continue through August 31, 1999. This is not
a request for quotation. Any other firm desiring consideration must
submit documentation which will demonstrates it technical capability to
