Vendor will migrate Department of Energy (DOE) Oakland Operations Office (OAK) from cc:Mail, WorldTalk and Ricoh Fax software applications to MS Exchange 5.5 running the Outlook '98 client, and to Fenestrae Faxination. OAK supports no more than 400 users and the user desktop platforms will be Windows NT 4.0 and Windows '95 running Office 97. OAK is an Ethernet LAN/WAN with a Novel Netware 4.11 network operating system. Services vendor will provide include, but not limited to the following: Configure three Microsoft NT 4.0 Servers; two servers will be located at the Oakland office and the third will be configured for a site at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL). Configure three Microsoft Exchange 5.5 Servers and one Faxination server; two servers will be located at the Oakland office and the third will be configured for a site at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL). Install as required, software to support MS Exchange and Faxination in a Novel 4.11 network environment. Establish Internet Mail Exchange. Test mail retrieval from local and remote locations and Internet exchange. Assist DOE staff with user migration. (Z.E.N.Works will be used for software distribution) CONSIDERATIONS All work must be performed by a MS Certified Technician. Proposals submitted will include cost and time estimates for at least the following phases: Needs Assessment Design/Planning Configuration / Installation Internet Mail Exchange Pilot/Testing Desktop Migration Proposals submitted will identify number and skill level of technicians expected to support each phase and/or entire project.
