D-INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SERVICES, INCLUDING TELECOMMUNICATIONS SERVICE The Department of Defense, TRICARE Management Activity (TMA), Aurora, CO, intends to exercise option period one under purchase order MDA906-98-M-0017, awarded using a request for quotation. This sole source award to Access Technologies Inc., was accomplished in accordance with 13.106-1(b)(1). The first option performance period is from 1 October 1998 through 30 September 1999. The non-personal services require the contractor to provide the following: Line Item 0003 -- Provide all labor, tools, materials and transportation necessary to maintain the Paradox portion of the TRICARE Duplicate Claims Systems (DCS) software. Maintenance activities are estimated at 8 hours per month. Line Item 0004 -- Create a 32 bit version of the DCS which will operate using TRICARE Encounter DATA (TED). Development activities are estimated at 320 hours. FAR 52.217-9, Option to Extend the Term of the Contract, applies. The initial award also included Line Item 0005 -- Option Period 2, which is the same as Line Item No. 0003, except the period of performance is 1 October 1999 through 30 September 2000 and Line Item 0006 -- Option Period 3, which is the same as Line Item 0003, except the period of performance is 1 October 2000 through 30 September 2001.
