16 -- V-22 AIRCRAFT PECULIAR SUPPORT EQUIPMENT SOL N68335-98-Q-0297 DUE 091598 POC Carl Ruzicka, Code 2.5.2.1.1, (732)323-2741 The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate, on a non-competitive basis, with BOEING Helicopters, Philadelphia, PA for acquisition of organizational level peculiar support equipment for the V-22 (Osprey) aircraft. It is intended to award a firm fixed price, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract. The required items including the minimum/maximum quantities are as follows: (Note: Boeing part numbers) P/N 901-236-010-101, Main Landing Gear Handling Adapter, qty 1/19; P/N 901-231-015-101, Mini-Mark IV Tool Set, qty 2/27; P/N 901-236-009-101, MLG Trunnion Pin Removal Tool, qty 1/20; P/N 901-270-005-101, TFU Handling Adapter, qty 2/28; P/N 901-231-002-101, Floor Panel Handling Adapter, qty 2/39; P/N 901-201-004-101, Rig Pin Set, qty 5/24; P/N 901-270-006-101, Coax Adapter Set, qty 1/20; P/N 901-225-012-101, 02 Bayonet Gauge, qty 1/19. It is noted that the V-22 aircraft support equipment suite is currently in a developmental stage. As such, there is a requirement for sustaining engineering of the above equipment that will also be satisfied under the contract. The Government intends to procure the above items/services under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c)(1), FAR 6.302-1. The Government does not own the data, drawings or other specifications to permit full and open competition. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal, in writing, which may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement.
