The Naval Sea Systems Command has a requirement for the development and integration of an Integrated Combat Direction System (ICDS) for CVN and LPD Class ships. This Command intends to award a sole source contract to Raytheon Naval and Maritime Systems (NAMS) for the evolutionary development of the Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) into an ICDS. The ICDS design will also incorporate Navy required Advanced Combat Direct System (ACDS) software functions into SSDS as a part of this development. The requirement will include SSDS hardware for CVN-76, LPD-17 and LPD-18; an option for upgrade hardware for the ACDS and SSDS systems currently installed on the CVN-68; and provisioning data, technical data, and training to support the ICDS.
