PUBLIC-PRIVATE VENTURE WITH THE U. S. DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY FOR DEVELOPMENT, AND LONG-TERM OPERATION/MANAGEMENT OF NAVY FAMILY HOUSING IN THE NEW ORLEANS AREA PUBLIC-PRIVATE VENTURE WITH THE U. S. DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY FOR DEVELOPMENT, AND LONG-TERM OPERATION/MANAGEMENT OF NAVY FAMILY HOUSING IN THE NEW ORLEANS AREA The Department of the Navy is seeking qualified private developers/property managers/teams to join it in a public-private venture to construct up to 400 units, own, operate, manage and maintain Navy family housing in the New Orleans area. Utilizing the authorities provided in P.L. 104-106 Section 2801, the Navy will contribute cash, up to 502 existing units of Navy-owned and occupied family housing (at Naval Support Activity, New Orleans and Naval Air Station, New Orleans) and land for the construction of new units. A Developer Conference will be held on 09 September 98 at the Airport Radisson Hotel, New Orleans, LA from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM to discuss the Navy's objectives and requirements and to solicit admive from the development community on a number of key community issues.
