The dredge will primarily be used for maintenance dredging operations in the Mississippi River, Baton Rouge to the Gulf of Mexico, LA project, in the area known as the Mississippi River Crossings, between New Orleans and Baton Rouge, LA. Due to anticipated shoaling rates only dredges with a tested dredge-and-haul production rate of at least 30,000 cubic yards per day, and a tested agitation rate of at least 75,000 cubic yards per day are accepted for use under this contract.
