Jefferies (telephone: 931-454-4402) This project requires the contractor to design, furnish and install a cooling water metering system consisting of magnetic flowmeters and magnetic flow converters. The base amount of the contract provides for the removal of existing metering systems, the construction of manholes and the installation of one magnetic flowmeter. The solicitation includes options for up to seven additional flowmeters. The flowmeters shall be Yokogawa Meter Model ADMAG or approved equal and must have the following characteristics: bi-directional; operational when submerged fully under water; capable of measuring, indicating, and totalizing the flow with accuracy equal to or better than 2 percent of actual flow; capable of operating over an ambient temperature range of 0 degrees F to 140 degrees F; capable of operating over a working pressure range of 75 psig to 140 psig; capable of operating with lake water with a service temperature range of 35 degrees F to 90 degrees F. All information technology components shall be Year 2000 (Y2K) compliant, and all electronic components shall be ISO 9001 compliant. The performance period shall be 112 calendar days following receipt of a written Notice to Proceed. The estimated order of magnitude, including the base amount and all options, is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Any responsible firm responding to this notice may submit an offer which shall be considered. Foreign participation is authorized. Any firm responding to this notice should do so in writing and should indicate whether or not it is a small business and whether or not it is a small disadvantaged business.
