The proposed contractor shall develop an assessment tool of STD clincial services in IHS and Tribal health facilities to determine areas of need and improvement in providing STD clinical services; establish projects to improve chlamydia and other STD screening and testing through the evaluation and augmentation of current practices and standrds of care; collaborate with Area Chief Medical Officers and Service Unit pgrams for chlamydia screening, treatment, and follow up; train health providers concerning specimen collection, counseling, and partner management and notification; and consult with Tribes regarding the implementation of Centers for Diseases Control (CDC) STD guidelines in Tribal-managed facilties.
