THIS PROJECT CONSISTS OF PROVIDING LABOR, EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS TO INSTALL A STANDING SEAM RETROFIT METAL ROOF ON PORTIONS OF THE STRUCTURES AND DYNAMICS LAB, BUILDING 4619.THE BASE BID INCLUDES APPROXIMATELY 50,300 SQUARE FEET OF ROOFING. OPTION 1 INCLUDES APPROXIMATELY 21,000 SQUARE FEET OF ROOFING. OPTION 2 INCLUDES APPROXIMATELY 15,200 SQUARE FEET OF ROOFING. THE WORK REQUIRES RAISING THE ROOF TOP EQUIPMENT FROM THE EXISTING ROOFS TO THE TOPS OF THE NEW ROOFS. ALL REQUEST FOR IFB PACKAGES MUST BE IN WRITING CONTAINING COMPLETE COMPANY NAME, ADDRESS, AND PHONE/FAX NUMBER. REQUEST FOR IFB PACKAGE MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A CASHIERS CHECK IN THE AMOUNT OF $25.00 MADE PAYABLE TO "NASA CASHIER". AWARD OF THIS PROJECT IS CONTINGENT UPON THE AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS. The order of magnitude for the procurement is BETWEEN $1,000,000 AND $5,000,000 and the effort shall be completed within 360 calendar days after notice to proceed. This procurement is part of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The SIC Code and small busines size standard for this procurement are 1761 and $7.0M, respectively. The anticipated release date of the IFB is on or about SEPTEMBER 21, 1998 with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about OCTOBER 22. The provisions and clauses in the solicitation are those in effect through FAC 97 -- 07. The firm date for receipt of bids will be stated in the IFB. Drawings will be available from the PRIMARY POINT OF CONTACT. All responsible qualified sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency.
