THIS PROJECT CONSISTS OF PROVIDING THE LABOR, EQUIPMENT, AND MATERIALS TO INSTALL A NEW STANDING SEAM METAL ROOF AT BUILDING 4666. EXISTING ROOFTOP MOUNTED EXHAUST HOODS, ROOF HATCHES, AND PIPING ARE TO BE RELOCATED AND/OR EXTENDED, WORK INCLUDES ADDING INSULATION TO THE ROOF. THIS PROJECT INCLUDES AN OPTION FOR INSTALLING A NEW MODIFIED BITUMEN ROOFING SYSTEM AND INSULATION AT BUILDING 4566. ALL REQUEST FOR THIS IFB PACKAGE MUST BE MADE IN WRITING AND CONTAIN THE COMPLETE COMPANY NAME, ADDRESS, AND PHONE/FAX NUMBERS. REQUEST FOR IFB PACKAGES MUST INCLUDE A CASHIERS CHECK IN THE AMOUNT OF $25.00, MADE PAYABLE TO "NASA CASHIER". AWARD OF THIS PROJECT IS CONTINGENT UPON THE AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS. The order of magnitude for the procurement is BETWEEN $500,000 AND $1,000,000 and the effort shall be completed within 360 calendar days after notice to proceed. This procurement is part of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The SIC Code and small busines size standard for this procurement are 1761 and $7.0M, respectively. The anticipated release date of the IFB is on or about SEPTEMBER 21,1998 with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about NOVEMBER 3,1998. The provisions and clauses in the solicitation are those in effect through FAC 97 -- 07. The firm date for receipt of bids will be stated in the IFB.
