P -- ABATEMENT AND DEMOLITIONOF ST. LOUIS PHA DARST-WEBBE APARTMENTS SOL 365-8-7 DUE 092998 POC Ralph R. Thadeus, Purchasing Agent, 314/286-4234; Contracting Officer, Beverly Franklin The St. Louis (Missouri) Housing Authority (SLHA) is seeking the services of a Specialty Contractor to provide hazardous and/or regulated materials abatement and the subsequent demolition of selected buildings within the Darst-Webbe development. The subject buildings, identified by the SLHA as the A-1, A-3, B-2, B-4, C-6 and E-8 buildings, range in size from six (6) stories to twelve (12) stories in height. The successful Specialty Contractor will provide abatement services to remove, transport and legally dispose of, off-site, all hazardous and/or regulated materials from the subject buildings. In addition, the successful Specialty Contractor shall remove, transport and legally dispose of, off-site, underground storage tanks and contaminated soils from the subject property. The successful Specialty Contractor will provide the necessary materials, labor, equipment, etc. to demolish the selected subject buildings. Demolition operations shall include any improvements (pavement, curbs, utilities and appurtenances, miscellaneous structures, etc) within the limits of the demolition area as required services to complete the work. The contract to complete abatement and demolition operations is anticipated to be awarded by the SLHA to the successful Specialty Contractor in October, 1998. Solicitation documents will be available for pick-up at the SLHA, Procurement Section -- third floor, 4100 Lindell Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63108, starting at 12:00 p.m. (noon)(local time), September 8, 1998, for $200.00 paid only by certified check or money order make payable to the St. Louis Housing Authority. A pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 a.m. (local time), Tuesday, September 15, 1998, at the SLHA, 4100 Lindell Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63108. A site visit will be held following the pre-bid conference. In addition, the site will be available for respondents to assess the existing conditions, on both September 16 and 17, 1998. The SLHA will receive sealed bids for these services until 3:00 p.m. (local time) Tuesday, September 29, 1998, at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read.
