The National Institute of Standards and Technology's (NIST) Administrative Computing Support Group of the Information Technology Laboratory has a requirement for programming support and maintenance of over 40 dBase and Clipper application systems that support the internal business processes of NIST including Accounting, Procurement, Personnel, and Facilities Services divisions. NIST requires on-site contractor technical assistance and programming support for the maintenance and extension of these dBase/Clipper computer application systems. This requirement will be set aside 100% for small business under SIC Code 7371 and the small business size standard is $18 million. The Government seeks to award a firm-fixed price contract for a base period of one (1) year with two (2) option years. The Government anticipates that this requirement is for one-man year of effort for the base period and one-man year of effort for each of the two (2) option periods. The solicitation will be released on or about September 20, 1998 and will be issued as a Request for Quotations using simplified acquisition procedures under the authority of FAR 13.5 -- Test Program for Certain Commercial Items.
