The following changes are made to Solicitation F26600-98-Q2097: There is a revised bid schedule to change the numbering of line items and make two additions. The amount of line items for this order is changed from (41) forty-one line items to (5) five line items, one per each fiscal year of the requirement. The following items were added to the Bid Schedule: Line Item 0001BA a (1) ton manual monorail hoist, Make: Chester, Model: Zephyr SN: C-466-1/2 located at bldg. 854. Certification date is 10 Mar 98. Line Item 0001DD a set hour for labor to repair hoists. The following items are added to the Statement of Work (SOW): Paragraph 4.7, Contractor delays the contractor will not be reimbursed for time lost gaining entry to secure areas due to negligence to adhere to the requirements listed in this statement of work. Any acts of provocation or other threatening gestures will be dealt with by security forces located within the secure area. If the contractor feels they have experienced unreasonable delays as a direct result of the government a claim must be submitted to the contracting officer. The contracting officer will then issue a decision. Paragraph 5.3.1, a certified micrometer is required for load test to nuclear hoists. A government-furnished micrometer will be provided upon request. Paragraph 5.2.3.1, is changed from: line items 0001 through 0041 require certification to: only the four nuclear hoists will require certified weights by the Nevada Department of Business and Industry. Paragraph 5.6.3, Hoists Failing Certification, the contractor is not responsible for repair of hoists under this contract. A set price for labor hours shall be given (line item 0001DD) under this contract for any repairs needed to hoists. This will be used as an evaluation factor to determine the best value for the government. Unbalanced offers may be unacceptable. Evaluation of options does not obligate the Government to exercise the options. The submission date of bids is changed from 1400 PST 13 Sept 98 to 1400 PST 18 Sept 98. Late offers will not be considered. Offers will be accepted by mail, hand carried, or faxed to 702-652 (5405, 3367, or 2532). Acceptance period for offers is 30 days.
