B -- CREDIT BUREAU DATA DUE 100298 POC Boyd Greene, Contract Specialist (202) 874-5442 The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) is currently seeking Credit Bureau Data in support of an upcoming research project sponsored by the agency's Economics department. The OCC is interested in a company that can provide data drawn from a national longitudinal (panel) database. The OCC will need data from 1989 to present, reported on either a monthly or quarterly basis that is drawn from a large representative sample of the population. The OCC is also interested in the type and breadth of demographic information available from such a database. Special requirements to the OCC's project include: (1) Ability to track individual borrowers over time though the identity of the borrower must be suppressed; (2) Ability to track individual trade lines (i.e., lender) over time though the name of the lender can be suppressed; (3) ability to provide a full list of bureau variables including age of account (open/close dates), payment history for each trade line (current days past due, chargeoff), amount paid each period, amount past due, outstanding balances, credit limit (revolving credits), and initial loan amount (installment creditors); and (4) ability to pool data by household (i.e., aggregate credit reports of joint accounts by household) while retaining the ability to disaggregate back to individuals. Respondents to this synopsis will be included on mailing list for any future correspondence on this requirement. The OCC does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this notice and will not pay for any information received a result of this synopsis. Vendors with questions may call Boyd Greene, Contract Specialist at (202) 874-5442. Vendors that are capable of providing Credit Bureau Data that meet all or most of OCC's requirements are requested to submit their information replies to reach OCC by October 2, 1998.
