The Social Security Administration (SSA) is seeking sources to conduct research with respect to SSA's Continuing Disability Review (CDR) program. Following an initial determination that an individual is disabled, SSA is required by statute to perform a review at periodic intervals to determine if that disability continues. Case selection for these CDR's is triggered by a number of events, including (but not limited to) the individual's prognosis for improvement, progress in vocational rehabilitation, and work/earnings status. Case selection profiles are based upon production data collected in a number of SSA data files. The potential contractor would be required to examine SSA's CDR profiling and selection processes, including data sources, and assist SSA in developing an improved methodology for identifying and selecting CDR cases. Vendors capable of providing the above research/review are invited to submit complete information, including company capabilities, previous experience, and any other appropriate relavent information regarding your ability to perform such review and research. Interested parties must respond in writing within 15 calendar days from the date of this publication and refer to "CDR-DME". No contract award will be made on the basis of responses received. However, this information will be used in SSA's assessment of capable sources. The government does not intend to pay for information received.
