Z -- RAISED FLOOR SYSTEM AND INSTALLATION SOL N61339-98-Q-2015 DUE 101398 POC Brenda Rhodes, Purchasing Agent, 407/380/4306 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a quotation is being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation N61339-98-Q-2015 is hereby issued as a request for quotation (RFQ) and incorporates the provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-06. This solicitation shall be awarded on a sole source basis to Overview Systems Inc. The Standard Industrial Classification Code for this solicitation is 8999 and the small business annual receipts of $5M. The following item is required: Raised Flooring Product and Installation at COMTRAWINGFOUR, Building 1824, Room 202, Naval Air Station, Corpus Christi, TX, in accordance with statement of work. Statement of Work (SOW). PART 1 GENERAL. 1.1 GENERAL DESCRIPTION. In connection with installation of Electronic Classroom. In classroom 202, accomplish the following: a. Provide and install flexible foam underlayment over the entire classroom floor area to be covered by the raised floors or ramps. b. Provide and install 120-volt power wiring over the underlayment. Connect the raised floor wiring to the four cable harnesses, installed by others. Each cable harness will contain two 20-amp circuits for a total of eight circuits. The new wiring cables by the flooring contractor shall be arranged so that four new flooring power receptacles shall be on each circuit, for a total of 27 receptacles for student stations and two receptacles on a dedicated circuit for the Instructor Podium. Provide grommets, junction blocks, inserts and 29 duplex receptacles. c. Provide and install Category 5 data cabling starting at the future hub location at the Instructor Podium. Extend wiring to 19 locations and terminate in 19 modular housings and 19 modular duplex RJ45 insert jacks. d. Provide and install a single width three foot wide ramp at the area near the entry door. Provide handrails at the ramp and safety rails at the edge of the raised floor near the entry door. e. Provide and install three-inch high raised flooring over the entire classroom floor except for the area near the entry door, the area at the front of the classroom where the sliding chalkboard railings are located and the ramps. Flooring to be of polycarbonate plastic construction in 9-inch by 9-inch modules. Provide cutouts, grommets and inserts at each data jack, power receptacle and hole locations. Provide a 9-inch by 16-inch hole where shown near the instructor podium. f. Provide and install Grey Vinyl Base Molding at base of walls above the finished raised flooring. g. Provide and install carpet tiles over the entire raised floor and ramps. Carpet shall be Milliken Colorweave in any of the following colors; 141 Sapphire Gem, 142 Opal Gem, 144 Garnet Gem or 146 Emerald Gem. Only one color is to be used throughout the room. Adhere to the raised floor with pressure sensitiveadhesive and to the ramps with permanent carpet adhesive. h. Refer to drawings Building 1824, Room 202 and Floor Junction Box Detail for more information. i. Provide single ended power cable harnesses (pigtail) to the site, prior to the installation of the raised floor for installation by the Site Preparation (Electrical) Contractor. 2. The Raised Flooring Contractor to field verify all room dimensions on site before starting work. 3. All work shall conform to the latest edition of the National Electrical Code and any applicable based regulations. 4. The accompanying diagrams shall be marked to denote any deviations required during installation and delivered after work completion to Mr. Mark Stroop or Mr. Isauro Garcia, NAS Corpus Christi Public Works Center (512) 961-2150. Coordinate access and installation times with Mr. George Alexander of COMTRAWINGFOUR, (512) 961-2305/3769. 5. Work shall be accomplished by close of business on Friday, 30 October 1998. The following FAR provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition: 52.212-1, 52.212-4 and 52.212-5. The following subparagraphs of FAR 52.212-5(b), and DFARS addenda thereto, apply: (6), (7), (8), (9) and (16); 252.225-7001 and 252.225-7036. A completed copy of FAR 52.212-3, and the following DFARS addenda, must be included with quote: 252.225-7000 and 252.225-7035. See Note 22 (forty-five days is changed to read fifteen days).
