The Defense Supply Service-Washington intends to negotiate on a sole source basis a purchase order to Sumitomo for Air Blown Fiber (ABF). This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The proposed action is for Sumitomo ABF cable, connector boxes, trays, and other ancillary equipment needed to install ABF for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The Government believes that only one responsible source can provide the supplies, equipment and material that will satisfy the agency requirements.
