ELECTRONIC SOLICITATIONS AND PROPOSALS/BIDS The US Army Tank Automotive Armaments Command Acquisition Center at TACOM-ARDEC, Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey, in an effort to comply with Army Material Command's mandate to go paperless by Year 2000, has set the following milestones for its paperless contracting process. Effective 1 January 1999, solicitations will be in electronic format only. Solicitations will be posted to our electronic commerce and business opportunity website at http://procnet.pica.army.mil. Notices of proposed contract actions will still be published in the CBD. Effective 1 January 1999, proposals will only be accepted in electronic format. We plan to limit electronic format of proposals to electronic mail, 3.5 inch floppy disk, CD or Zip Drive Diskettes. Hard copy diskettes by themselves will not be accepted. Additional information will be posted as available as well as to the web site identified above.
