Dobbs, (215) 656-6923, Contract Specialist The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, intends to negotiate on a Sole Source basis with Bird-Johnson Company for the repair of controllable pitch propeller hub assemblies for the Dredge McFARLAND. Bird-Johnson is considered the only supplier of the required parts due to proprietary rights of all drawings relating to the required parts. This notice of intent is NOT a Request for Competitive Proposals. No contract award will be made on the basis of this notice. This notice does not constitute a solicitation document. No solicitation document exists. Requests for such documents will not be considered. However, all information received within forty-five (45) days after date of publication of this notice will be considered SOLELY for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will notpay for information received. Delivery is required with sixteen (16) weeks from the date of contract award.
