The USDA Forest Service, Northern Region, Region 1, plans to contract with vendor(s) for the supply and installation of stake bed and utility type bodies and various accessories on Forest Service provided cab and chassis trucks. The final product shall be complete, fully operational and certified. The trucks will be located in Northern Idaho and Western Montana. Contract will be for one calendar year (base year) with two additional option years. One contract with award to multiple vendors is possible. Award will be based on vendor's past performance in providing truck and stake bodies and accessories, quality of workmanship, and prices offered. The number of bodies ordered per year will fluctuate. This is an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract. Past averages indicate that orders for between 10 -- 20 bodies of each type per year could be ordered. 90 day contract performance time will be allowed on all orders placed. If multiple awards are made, orders will be placed to vendors on a rotational basis. However, the Government reserves the right to place an order for a specific body type with a vendor, under contract, who specializes in that body. The Government will order all requirements for stake bed and utility type bodies from vendor(s) awarded a contract, during the contract time specified, in the solicitation.
