the correction to: Submission No. 262240 dated October 15, 1998 --
12:06pm. The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a contract with
Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation (SAC), 6900 North Main Street, Stratford,
CT 06497-9129 to modify three Government-furnished SH-60B aircraft to
prepare them for conversion to the SH-60R configuration. The contract
will include standard depot-level maintenance (SDLM), a Service Life
Extension Program (SLEP), and the incorporation of engineering change
proposals (ECP). The contractor will provide associated support,
including interim spares, logistics support analyses and interim
logistics support. The Government will acquire some of the associated
support as provisioned items. The contractor will deliver engineering
drawings, test plans and reports, evaluate the need for peculiar
support equipment and plan for Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP). SAC
is the sole developer and integrator of the H-60 platform and
therefore, is the only known source with the expertise, technical data,
equipment, and experienced personnel necessary to perform the required
