Call-When-Needed services of one fixed-wing seaplane for the Chatham Area of the Tongass National Forest. The aircraft will be based in Sitka, Alaska and be available on a 36-hour call-when-needed basis during the period May 15, 1999 through September 1999. The contract period will be one year with an option for an additional one year period. The Forest Service will guarantee a minimum of 150 hourse during the availability period. Services which the aircraft will generally be required to perform include transportation of personnel, equipment and supplies; recon and observation; transportation of cargo; search and rescue; and fire support. Evaluation factors for award will include accident/flight safety; support capability; aircraft; flight crews seaplane experience; business practices; past performance; and price.
