PRE-PROPOSAL CONFERENCE FOR FY99 SMALL BUSINESS INNOVATIVE RESEARCH (SBIR) CONTRACTS FOR TOPIC NUMBERS AF99-295 AND AF99-297 1. The 46 Test Wing Munitions Test Division is hosting a pre-proposal conference for small businesses interested in two topics released in the FY99.1 Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) Solicitation. The conference will be held at Eglin AFB on the afternoon of 16 November 98. Only two topics, AF99-295 Munitions Lethality Computational Framework and AF99-297 Object Oriented Damage Prediction and Target Vulnerability Estimation, are involved in this event. No other SBIR topics will be discussed. The topic objectives are to: develop physics-based computational framework to support Air Force weapon systems testing, evaluation, and analysis; and develop a state-of-the-art methodology and model for predicting target damage from warhead detonation using Commercial-Off-The-Shelf object-oriented software applications, respectively. The topic authors will present briefings outlining the goals for the projects and provide the opportunity for questions and answers regarding the topics. AAC personal will also be available to answer procedural questions regarding the SBIR program. Attendance will be limited to two representatives from each interested small business. 3.
