Haven, CT, 41 Foot Utility Boats (CG41-UTB) including but not limited
to the following Indefinite Items: (1) Welding Repairs, (2) Renew
Aluminum Frames, Stiffeners, and Brackets, (3) Renew Rubrail, (4) Renew
Rubrail Fasteners, (5) Air Test Skeg, (6) Renew Skeg, (7) Renew Cabin
and Pilot House, (8) Perform Minor Repairs to Cabin Top, (9) Remove and
Reinstall Cabin Top Windows, (10) Renew Stern Tube, (11) Renew
Watertight Scuttle, (12) Remove, Inspect, Reinstall Deck Cleats, (13)
Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Propeller Shaft, (14) Renew Strut, (15)
Renew Propeller Shaft Coupling, (16) Straighten Shaft, (17) Remove and
Reinstall Main Diesel Engine, (18) Engine Realignment, (19) Renew
Propulsion Shaft Stern Tube Bearing, (20) Renew Propulsion Shaft Strut
Bearing, (21) Remove and Reinstall Propeller, (22) Overhaul, Renew,
and Test Valves, (23) Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Rudder Assembly,

Vessel is a 41 Foot Utility Boat. Vessel length is 40 feet, 8 inches;
breadth is 13 feet, 6 inches. Vessel homepier is New Haven, CT. Vessel
availability schedule is to be defined separately for each vessel. The
performance period for each vessel is thirty-five (35) calendar days.
The place of performance is not geographically restricted; however, for
the vessel to travel by water, the maximum nautical mileage will be
limited to ONE HUNDRED (100) nautical miles from New Haven, CT. This
figure represents a single day's travel for a UTB crew. Any contractor
providing for work to be accomplished at a commercial location
exceeding ONE HUNDRED (100) nautical miles will have to transport the
vessel by land at the contractor's expense which shall be included in
the amount bid. Transport time shall be included in the 35-day
performance period. The contract will consist of one base year and
three one-year options to be exercised at the Government's discretion.
There will be a non-refundable charge of $100.00 required in the form
of a certified check or money order payable to the U. S. Coast Guard
for requested drawings. All other referenced documents are available
for viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, VA. The
proposed contract listed here is set aside for Small Businesses. Plans
and specifications will be issued on or after 17 November 1998.

Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of
lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation
