THIS ITEM IS ACRITICAL, HEAVY MASS, HIGH ROTATIONAL SPEED ASSEMBLY. IT IS MANUFACTURED FROM FORGINGS WITH CRITICAL Q UALITY REQUIREMENTS. THIS ITEM TRANSMITS TORQUE IN THE FAN SECTIONOF THE ENG INE. ALL MACHINING FOR FOR THE SEAL AND ITS FEATURES IS CRITICAL. THE FUNCT ION OF THE REAR ROTATING AIR SEAL IS IT BOLTS TO THE REAR OF THE HIGH PRESSUR E COMPRESSOR (HPC) ASSEMBLE, CONTAINSSEAL TEETH AND TRANSMITS TORQUE TO TH E HPC FROM THE HIGH PRESSURE TURBINE.
