NASA/LeRC plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for research support pursuant to fixed-price task orders in the areas of engine nozzle and inlet components, specifically subsonic diffusers, supersonic jet flow and noise; and supersonic duct flows. The Government may award more than one Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract. The period of performance shall be one (1) year with two (2) 1-year options. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. See Note 26. All qualified responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. The anticipated release date of the RFP is on or about November 30, 1998 with an anticipated offer due date of on or about December 29, 1998.
