This solicitation is set-aside for small business. Work will be performed in an occupied and operational office building located in downtown Walla Walla, Washington. Work includes: Furnishing and installing an open circuit, forced draft, centrifugal fan, counter type colling tower of 3630 (MBH) capacity, 660 gpm water flow, 480 volt 30 hp fan on the roof of the building. Furnishing and installing 8" diameter steel pipe and chemical feed system for supply and return water between cooling tower and heat exchanger and 2" and 1-1/4" copper tubing for drain and makeup water between cooling tower and heat exchanger. Distance between cooling tower and heat exchanger is approximately 120 feet. Core drill 12" and 4" holes in concrete walls and floors for passage of pipes. Fabricate structural steel support platform for cooling tower and mount platform on roof parapet walls. Platform and coolingtower to be placed on roof with crane or helicopter. Installation of power supply for cooling system from the building's power supply, electrical controls and wiring for cooling tower and heat exchanger, and other miscellaneous electrical work. Repair roofing with a modified bitumen roofing membrane using a hot welding method. Building interior requires miscellaneous modifications to steel studs, gypsum wallboard, suspended ceiling system, raised floor system, and painting. Esimated cost is between $100,000 and $250,000.
