Contractor shall provide both design and construction services includng labor, materials, tools, equipment and supervision to add 2 additional levels on to the already existing Syracuse VA Medical Center Parking Garage. Work includes installation of 2 new elevators in the existing vacant hoistway and extension of all existing systems and utilities to accomodate the new levels. The interior and exterior architectural features and appearance of the addition shall match that of the existing structure. The design shall be performed by a Professional Engineer licensed in the State of New york utilizing the latest VA design criteria. Work includes all aspects of design, general construction, alterations, concrete, mechanical and electrical work including utilities. Approximately 3 design review submissions will be required by the VA. SIC code 1629 applies and the small business size standard is 17 million. Estimated cost range is between 1 and5 million. Solicitation packages will be available on or about November 23, 1998 with proposals due mid January. Proposals will be accepted from all responsible sources.
