Required delivery is 30 November 1998. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. The intended source is Jeppesen-Sanderson,Inc. 55 Inverness Dr., E, Englewood, CO 80112. Jeppesen-Sanderson,Inc possess engineering expertise and technical data to provide the 11 each DTRM 1143 and 40 each DTRM 2143 in a timely manner. Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code applicable to this acquisition is 3662. The size standard is 500.The 11 each DTRM 1143 and 40 each DTRM 2143 are commercial items. Commercial procedures are applicable at FAR Parts 12 and 13.6. The RFP will be issued no later than 18 Nov 1998 with closing date 3 Dec 1998. The Government does not own technical data for 11 each DTRM 1143 and 40 each DTRM 2143. Jeppesen-Sanderson,Inc owns all design rights and is the only known manufacturer. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
