61 -- TRIMESE BUNDLED PLENUM CABLE SOL 9901.144 DUE 120398 POC Point of Contact-Tammie Green, Contract Specialist (ph: 202/260-4623) DynCorp Information and Engineering Technology (DynCorp), in support of its on-site telecommunications CPAF contract (68-W2-0013) with the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), has a requirement for trimese bundled plenum cable for use at various EPA Headquarters facilities in Washington, DC. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation document will not be issued. This Solicitation #9901.144 is a request for quotation (RFQ). Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-09. The associated standard industrial classification code (SIC) for this procurement is 5063, and the small business size is 100 employees. A firm-fixed price purchase order will be issued under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Requirement is for 175,000 feet of plenum rated category 5 tri-cable design communications cable, with 3-individual jacketed 4-pair 24-gauge, all FEP, Cat 5 cables bundled together with an overall binder. The individual cat 5 cables within the bundle must include 1 each white, blue, and green color cable. Cable must be in 1,000 foot reels. To comply with warranty conditions in existing connectivity hardware, only cable manufactured by Belden, Berk-Tec, CommScope, Mohawk and Prescolite will be considered acceptable. PACKING SLIP: Shipments shall include a packing slip stating the purchase order number, item number, date and quantity shipped. DELIVERY TIME: Delivery on 50% of the cable is required within 30 days from the date of award; Delivery on remaining cable is required 60 days from date of award. Offers that propose delivery that will not clearly fall within the applicable required delivery period specified above will be considered nonresponsive and rejected. DELIVERYLOCATION: will be furnished upon award to Washington, DC destination. SHIPPING: FOB Destination -- inside delivery. The contractor shall pay and bear all charges to the specified point of delivery. Inspection and acceptance will be at destination.
