Headquarters, Military Traffic Management Command will issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) on or about 10 Jan 99 to all potential sources to provide transportation services between CONUS sites in NY, VT, NJ, PA, and DE. MTMC expects to award firm fixed price indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract(s) for the movement of approximately 11,250,000 US Gallons of fuel from Defense Fuel Support Point (DFSP) Verona, NY to seven (7) customers and 17,182,000 US Gallons of fuel from DFSP Jacksonville, NJ to ten (10) customers. The period of performance is anticipated to be April 1, 1999 through March 31, 2000. The contractor's responsibilities will include: (1) when and when ordered by the Contracting Officer (CO) or CO designee, the contractor shall perform the services consisting of transporting Government-owned Aviation Turbine Fuel, Grade JP-8, National Stock Number (NSN) 9130-01-031-5816; (2) the contractor may be required to provide assistance to consignor/consignee personnel when loading or discharging the fuel in accordance with standard commercial procedures; (3) pick up and delivery of fuel is expected to occur within a single calendar day.
