Z -- SECURITY DOORS AND FRAMES SOL IFB 428-0026 POC Thomas Dufort, Regional Contract Specialist, 717-547-1641, ext. 548 SOLICITATION NOTICE: Contractor will be required to remove fifteen (15) existing doors and frames and supply and install fifteen (15) security metal doors and frames, including locksets, hinges, wickets, handpulls, and security glazing at the United States Penitentiary located in Allenwood, Pennsylvania. The work is projected to begin in January 1999 with forty-five (45) days allowed for completion time. All responsible sources may submit a bid. Background investigations/clearances will be required. Bid packages will be available on or about December 4, 1998, until bid opening, which should take place on or about January 5, 1999. Requests must be mailed to the above address or faxed to 717-547-6819. NO PHONE REQUESTS WILL BE ACCEPTED. The specifications and drawings will be available for inspection at FPC Allenwood Visiting Room upon prior request until the bid closing date and time. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. The Standard Industrial Classification Code for this project is 1542 (size standard is $17.0 million). All vendors that answered the Pre-solicitation Notice need not resubmit a request for the solicitation package.
