Commerce, NOAA has a requirement for the purchase of one ATIR CV-700
Meteorological Radio Direction Finder (RDF) System to be delivered
F.O.B. Destination to the National Weather Service (NWS) Test and
Evaluation Facility in Sterling, Virginia within 90 days after contract
award. The envisioned contract also will include installation and
checkout services, documentation, and options for up to five years
worth of maintenance of the system. NOAA intends to negotiate on a sole
source basis with Atir U.S., Inc., 6095 28th Street, SE, Suite 2, Grand
Rapids, Michigan 49546 for this requirement. Atir U.S. has exclusive
marketing rights to the ATIR CV-700 Meteorological RDF System. It is
necessary that the radiosonde ground system to be acquired be an ATIR
CV-700 Meteorological RDF System in order to assure commonality with
the ATIR CV-700 Meteorological RDF Systems supported by the U.S.
Government in Curacao, St. Maarten, Trinidad, San Andres Island, and
Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The system will be used for testing
purposes and for system sparing, if necessary. There is no
