The presses (currency) are not of the types we see in the field on a regular basis. We would like to have an opportunity to accomplish a site visit. The site visit will help determine the scope of work. We feel this would benefit the government as well as the contractor in giving and receiving a more accurate proposal. Answer #1:Site visit not required. Question #2: If a site visit is not possible, the following questions apply. a. Who is the manufacturer of the presses? -- Giori b. What is the physical size? 40ft long -- 15 width -- 10 feet high c. Have the presses ever been CO2 cleaned? No d. can the government furnish 200 CFM of compressed air @ 120 PSIG and 3 -- 100 VAC electrical power circuits? Answer: BEP can guarantee 200 CFM but can only guarantee 100 PSI. Question #3: What hours of operation does "weekends" mean? Please clarify. Does it mean twenty-four hours requiring the vendor to provide three different shifts to clean the equipment? This will affect pricing if not clarified. Answer #3: BEP is open 24 hours -- shift work is the appropriate method for scheduling of employees for the vendor.
