Z -- SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION OF BASE ENGINEERS REQUIREMENTS (SABER) SOL F12617-99-R0012 DUE 020899 POC POC Leslie Solum, 765/688-2827; Leo Lewis, 765/688-2805 Z -- This PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE is for the acquisition for a broad range of maintenance, repair and minor construction work on real property at Grissom ARB, IN. The work is required in support of the SABER (Simplified Acquisition of Base Engineers Requirements)for the Base Civil Engineer (BCE)activities; SIC Code 1799. The contract will be an indefinite delivery -- indefinite quantity type contract and will include a wide variety of individual construction tasks as identified in the Unit Price Book (UPB). During the contract period, BCE will identify construction tasks required to complete each specific job, and Operational Contracting will negotitate and issue delivery orders to the contractor to complete these jobs. The contractor will be required to furnish all materials, equipment, and personnel necessay to manage and accomplish the projects. Individual jobs will vary in size and complexity, and will include task in a variety of trades to include carpentry, road repair, roofing, excavating,electrical, steam fitting, plumbing, sheet metal, painting, demolition, concrete masonry and welding. The guaranteed contract minimum is $100,000 and the proposed maximum is $1,000,000. The average value of SABER Delivery Orders under the current SABER contract at Grissom ARB is $55,339. The performance period will be for a twelve-month basic year with three(3) twelve-month option periods. No Government furnished facility will be available for office space. The contractor will be required to perform 20% of the construction work with his/her own labor force. The contractor will have to provide as-built drawings using AutoCad drawing software. A Non-Refundable Fee of $30.00 PAYABLE TO THE UNITED STATE TREASURER, Grissom ARB, IN 46971 is required for EACH COPY of the solicitation package(s) requested.
