Architect-Engineer services for custom design postal facili= ties at
the following locations in Virginia: McLean Main Office
(232092-99-A-0020), Alexandria Memorial Station (232092-99-A-0021)=,
Arlington Main Office (232092-99-A-0022), Fairfax Main Office
(232092-99-A-0023). Architectural firms which meet the requirement= s
described in this announcement are invited to submit: (1) a Stand= ard
Form 254, Architect-Engineer and Related Services Questionnaire, (= 2)
a Standard Form 255, Architect-Engineer and Related Services
Questionnaire for Specific Project, and (3) supplemental data described
below. These submissions must be received by January 29=, 1999. All
submissions MUST be marked with the location and associ= ated number
for which you wish to be considered. If you would like the= package
considered for multiple projects, list all that apply but = only one
submission is required. The submission should include two complete
copies of all information. The selection will be conduct= ed with the
combined use of SF-254 and SF-255. Interested firms with= more than one
office must indicate on their SF 255 the staffing composition of the
office in which the work will be performed. Consideration will be given
to interested firms responding to this= advertisement based equally on
the following criteria: 1. Experi= ence in designing
retail/office/distribution/multi-story buildings of a= complex nature;
2. List and describe five (5) projects with construction costs in the
$5 -- $20 million range. Include project= type, location, and dollar
value; 3. List and describe five (5) t= o ten (10) projects located in
Fairfax, Arlington, McLean and/or Alexandria. Include project type,
location, and dollar value; 4.= Minimum three (3) registered
architects; 5. Strong CAD background= using AutoCAD. List the average
number of years experience for employees at the local office as well as
the current version utili= zed; 5. Performance histories on Postal
Service projects; 6. Previous= performance based on references. Greater
consideration will be giv= en to local firms. The contract contains a
requirement for firms to provide evidence of current errors and
omissions insurance of $200=,000 per claim. It is prohibited to pay any
fee, commission, percentag= e, or brokerage fee to any person or firm
contingent upon or resultin= g from award of a contract for this
solicitation. No other general notification for this project will be
made. This is not a request= for proposal. The Postal Service reserves
