Johnson Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center intends to award a contract for Anesthiology Services. This is considered to be an emergency contract for approximately a six month time frame. The anesthesiologist must be board certified or board eligible. This is a combined synosis/solicitation for a commercial item service prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is RFP 534-26-99 and is issued as a request for proposal. Solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are thoses in effect throught Federal Acquisition Circular 97-09. This procurement is Unrestricted. SIC 8011. Contractor shall provide anesthesiology services for this Medical Center on an hourly basis from time of award until July 3, 1999. This is to be a firm fixed price contract with an all inclusive hourly rate. Services will be five (5) days per week 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with on call 7 days per month and one weekend (Saturday and Sunday) per month. Please address an overtime rate for anytime time over 8 hours per day. Curriculum vitae should be included with credentials. Payments will be on certified invoices in arrears.
