The General Services Administration (GSA) has a potential requirement for janitorial services, machanical maintenance services, propane and number 2 fuel oil for the new border station that is presently under construction at Poker Creek, Alaska, which will consist of four buildings, two existing residential log cabins, one new generator/maintenance building, and one new office building which includes two efficiency apartments on the ground floor. The total area of the new office building is 366 square meters (3,905 square feet). The two cabins combined are 131 square meters (1,410 square feet). The generator/maintenance building houses the generator. NOTE: Mainenance will be required in all buildings, however, cleaning will only be required in 167 square meters (1,796 square feet) of the new office building. All remaining space will not require cleaning services. The U.S. Border Station Poker Creek is located approximately 100 miles northeast of Tok on State Highway 5 at the Yukon (Canada) border. This is a very remote site which is anticipated to only be operational duiring the months of April through October each year. GSA would like to know if there are any firms who whould be interested in providing any or all of the following services: Propane; number 2 fuel oil; janitorial, and semi-annual preventive maintenance for major equipment (seasonal start-up and end-of-season shutdown) and service calls during the operating season which includes breakdown maintenance and emergency repairs. There will also be some snow removal requirment during the operational months which will consist of clearing the driveway and clearing a walkway for travelers to enter/exit the building. At this time service commencement would be approximately April, 2000.
